In Satanism, there are different symbols with powerful spiritual meaning in relation to humanity attaining the divinity of perfection, physical and spiritual immortality. These symbols are used in worship practices as they have the ability to create a connection between the worshipper and his god. In this blog we shall highlight some common symbols and their uses in Satanism.

Sigil of Lucifer

This symbol appeared for the first time in the sixteenth century, in the Italian work Grimoirium Verum (“Grimoire of Truth”). It is used to invoke Lucifer. It is sometimes called the “Seal of Satan,” and today it is one of the best-known satanic symbols.

Inverted pentagram:

It symbolizes the morning star and is used in witchcraft and occult rituals to conjure evil spirits. It can be inside a circle or not, in any way it represents Satan.

Inverted Cross:

The Satanists wear these crosses as necklaces. It is not a symbol that signifies power; it is only a form of identification that affirms the mockery towards whoever was crucified “to save the world”.

Eye Of The Dragons

The eye of the dragon is a well-known symbol of protection. The symbol of the Dragon Eye represents the balance between love, power and wisdom.

Tau Cross 

This is a symbol of the Persian god Mathras and Aryans of India. For them, Mathras was the angel of light. It is a symbol used by modern masons. The tau cross also represents the sun god.

The symbol 666 with the fingers        

This is a symbol to summon the satanic powers. This gesture of the hand is to join the thumb and the index finger and to raise the other three fingers.

The horned symbol with the hand

In Italy this sign is referred as “Mano Cornuto” and is used to protect people from the evil eye.

When made with the left hand, it can be used to send curses to a person. This sign represents the horned gods of witchcraft and when done with the right hand it is a sign of being a member of an occult group.

Ankh:

It is also called “the seal of life” and is used in fertility rituals. It represents the spirit linked to the power of the union of masculine and feminine.

Italian horn

It was introduced by the Druids of Scotland and Ireland. It is associated with good luck and fortune. It also means that Satan will take control of your finances.

The Serpent

This is the most sacred symbol in Satanism used to represent the kundalini force at the base of the spine. When the serpent is activated through meditation and specific energy exercises, it rises through the seven chakras, bringing the intense consciousness, enlightenment, powers, psychic abilities, and omniscience.

The hooded cobra snake, seen in many ancient sculptures and paintings in Egypt, symbolizes expanded awareness as a result of the increase of the serpent.

The Fork of the Devil

This is known as “Trishul” and symbolizes drilling through the three nodes: the base, heart and sixth chakras, also known as “granthis” in Sanskrit. For the serpent to rise, all three must be opened.

The Trishul symbolizes the serpentine energy to pierce through the three granthis.

Baphomet 

The Baphomet image of the Western Occultism was taken from the image of Shiva. It is a demonic symbol of Satan placed as statues in satanic temples and shrines. This is also a symbol of both the feminine and masculine aspects of the soul.

Pentagram:

This symbol is used in witchcraft to represent the elements; earth, wind, fire, water and the spirit surrounding them. The pentagram also represents man.

The mandrake is one of the most famous plants used in Wiccan practices because of its numerous magical abilities. Mandrake belongs to the Solanee family and is known to have roots that look like human genitals. It has long thick root with dark green leaves, white flowers with a purple hue and its fruit are very similar to an apple. Also,  this plant is easily identified through its strong and unpleasant smell.

Locations:

It grows in shady forests, on the banks of rivers and streams where sunlight does not penetrate. This plant can be found in southern European countries such as Italy and Spain, but it is also found in North African countries such as Morocco and Tunisia.

How to get the Mandrake Root:

The mandrake is a very powerful plant and harvesting the root was a difficult task in the past. This was because those who uprooted the plant died thereafter. So the farmers devised another method of getting the mandrake plant from the ground.

They dug deep around the root then a rope was tied to the root and the other end of the rope was tied to the neck of a dog. The dog was made to run thereby pulling the root from the ground. Then the Mandrake plant was picked up by the owner while the dog was left dead.

General Uses of Mandrake in Magickal Practices

• The mandrake oil is used to purify and anoint candles in rituals.

• It is used as an enhancer of courage, love and personal power.

• Mandrake plant is used for protection against evil forces.

• Due to its smell, it can be used in production of ritual perfumes.

• If you slip a mandrake root shaped like a baby underneath a woman’s pillow, it makes her to conceive.

• If you carry a mandrake root shaped like a woman in your pocket, it could help to attract your desired lover to you.

• Mandrake root can be used to resolve woes, and catch fraudsters.

• In ancient medicine the leaves of the mandrake boiled in milk were applied to cure ulcers.

• Also its fresh roots can be used as an analgesic.

How to Prepare a Mandrake for use in Magic

After you have successfully gotten the Mandrake root, you can preserve it for use in all your magical works. Kindly follow these steps:

• Get a jar, alcohol and the mandrake root.

• Cut the root into different parts.

• Put into the jar and fill with alcohol.

• Store this content for two or three months.

• Ensure to stir the jar’s content every night while asking for blessings from the mandrake root.

• Then the extract is ready for all your spells with mandrake.

Freezing rituals and spells are magical procedures used to restrain a person. Also, this kind of ritual is used to stop the occurrence of something. That is why the term freeze is used because what is sought is to “cool” a situation or a person.

This cooling implies that we try to remove energy or transform the energy that is active into a deactivated energy. There are many ways to do it and with this a sorcerer can stop his enemies in just a glance.

The power of these techniques is sometimes so drastic so it should be used only in circumstances that justify it. It is one of those spells that due to its potential vigor, deserves serious consideration.

1. Freezing ritual to keep someone away:

Items needed:

1. Picture of the person you wish to freeze
2. Black candle
3. Lighter
4. Elastic bond

Steps:

• Place the picture on your altar.
• Light up the candle and meditate for five minutes on the person leaving you completely.
• Leave the candle to burn for at least ten minutes.
• Turn off the candle and believe the person has gone out of your life
• Take the photo and wrap around the candle using an elastic band.
• As you do so, recite: “As of today, you will move away from me, you will have no power over me, you do not see me anymore”.
• Placed the wrapped picture and candle inside the freezer and continue to meditate on your desire.
• Leave the items in the freeze for as long as you want to keep the person away.
• You can also wrap the items with some plastic so that they don’t get wet and torn.

After carrying out the above steps your target will be kept away far from you and your family.

2. Spells with vinegar to freeze a man we no longer love:

This is another ritual that helps you get all your exes from trailing your back and disturbing your life. What this ritual does is to make your ex to stop thinking about you especially when you are no longer in love with him.

Items required:

• Red candle,
• Glass of vinegar,
• A blank 20 by 20 centimeters paper,
• A plastic bag that is airtight and
• Lipstick.

Steps:

• Light the candle,
• Place the glass of vinegar in front of the red candle.
• Write your name and that of the person on the paper using a lipstick and lock it in a heart.
• Fold the paper into four and put it inside the glass of vinegar.
• Recite: “Locked up you will remain forever, and this love will not prosper”
• Wait for 10 minutes then take out the paper from the glass and put it inside the plastic bag.
• Hold the bag in your left hand and recite this sentence nine times; “Now let the isolation of this love begin.”
• Add water to the bag and put it inside the freezer.
• When doing it repeat nine times the following phrase:

“As of today this love is totally suspended and I decree it will remain like this”

At this point, leave the bag in the freezer for as long as you want as this will keep the individual far away from you. If for any reason the iced bag gets melted, you will have to repeat the spell. Meanwhile, the candle remnants should be buried somewhere no one has access to.
