Elemental Curse

This spell should only be used under the direst of circumstances, when a person is clearly, undeniably, unquestionably acting in a way that is fundamentally immoral, harming others, and bringing evil energy into the world. Do not use it just because someone said something nasty behind your back. This is not a remedy for petty highschool drama. By casting this spell, you are acting as the Dark Goddess – Hecate, Kali, Lilith, etc – and you better make sure your will is in line with theirs, that they would whole-heartedly agree with your actions, before you invoke this kind of energy.
With that being said, you have been warned.

* Cast a circle before a fire, in your cauldron or hearth, and place fire large stones around the circle.

* Say "Oh Elements that Be.
By the dark winds that foul and scour,
By the dried earth that brings famine and suffering,
By the dark fires that scorch and sear,
By raging waters that choke and consume life,
Elemental Powers, open the Doors of Destruction and Despair
for _name of cursed_
Bring him/her the pain which she needs
to cleanse his/her heart of cruelty,
By the Power of the Five Elements!

I ask by Wind (fan the fire)
I ask by Earth (cast dirt into the fire)
I ask by Fire (cast ash into the fire)
I ask by Water (spit into the fire)
I ask by Spirit (cast blood into the fire*)
Let It Be Done."

Black Magick vs. Dark Magick part one

So, we'll start with the differences between black magick and dark magick. First of all, let's get one thing straight right now. Darkness and Evil are two completely different things. As I'm sure most of you have already figured out, you can wear black clothes and have piercings and tattoos without feeling some strange urge to go sacrifice a baby.

Black magick includes things like summoning demons to possess someone. Let's not do this. I can't say I have experience in this arena, but something just tells me it's probably a bad idea. Cursing and hexing, if used incorrectly, can also be considered "black magick." An example of the incorrect use of cursing would be if someone at school gets on your nerves for being a shallow Barbie ho, so you go home and make a voodoo doll of her. Did she really do anything to hurt you? Is she just a poor ignorant soul who is not inherently evil? Leave her alone. That doesn't call for cursing.

Dark magick is a celebration of all things hidden and mysterious. It's actually very psychological, as darkness represents the power of the subconsicous mind. Our dreams, intuitions, emotions, and psychic abilities are all considered to be "dark" traits. This is where the idea of "psychic vampires" comes from… the concept of a person who feeds off psychic or spiritual energy.

I would like to give a quick and easy example of a dark spell. This has almost no materials (one candle, and it's optional) and takes about five minutes. (At this point, I'm trying to keep things quick and interesting. I will go more in depth on the topic later)

Sit comfortably in a dark room
Light that optional candle…if you want (color, scent, size of your choice, yes it can be already used)
Breathe deeply for about a minute, just to chill and quiet your mind (music is ok though)
Close your eyes half way and observe the light of your candle and/or the shadows around the room. Let your vision go in and out of focus.
Close your eyes and see (in your mind) the shadows drawing close to you. They grow taller and take on a vaguely human form. You see they are holding silver weapons, glinting in the candlelight… and shadow. They are strong warriors of darkness. They kneel down before you and present you with their weapons. You take each one and equip it to your person. Next, they offer to shake your hand. Each time you touch one, its strength drains from its hand into yours, causing you to grow stronger, and causing the warrior to melt back into a simple shadow. They have gone, and left you with their psychic strength and weapons.

Congratulations, you now draw power from the shadows!

Dark Magick Part 2

On the subject of practising dark magick:

I have realized that many pagans seem to fear karmic retribution as christians fear hell. I think perhaps it is residual christian conditioning that keeps them in a mindset of needing to have something to fear… but all it does is disempower them. They are so afraid of "upsetting the balance" that they do not realize they themselves have become imbalanced, and are now content to sit and watch villains get away with evil, rather than step in and use the very tools we have been given by the Universe to make it right. Our hearts and spirits are fully capable of showing us right from wrong, and we should be able to tell whether a curse is truly in order, or if the poor ignorant soul just doesnt know what they are doing. Some people are truly evil at heart, and completely deserve to be taken down.
A witch who cannot hex, cannot heal. If you can't curse, you can't cure.
This is said for a reason. It is because we need both the light and the darkness. Witches are powerful because we are to be emissaries of the Goddess and the Universe. She will not be angry at us for doing ourselves what we would ask Her to do. She gave us the tools, and we have the power Within to accomplish anything. As long we know we are not being unjust, then it is Right. We must have discernment and wisdom regarding these things however, and must not simply curse anyone who looks at us the wrong way. We must have a good, strong foundation of reason and even impartiality to know what needs to be done. We must be able to see it not only from our own perspective, but also from that of the Universe.
Just like superheroes, we must protect the innocent. In my opinion, it is better to beat up the bully who is hurting an innocent kid than to just watch the kid get the shit beat out of them. Teach the bully a lesson right? The universe gave us the power to do something about it, so why sit around and wait on the Universe to do it for us?
Other pagans do not see it this way however, and I'm not sure why… So, adhering to the "Be Silent" rule, we must keep this to ourselves, or risk alienation. It isn't fair, but sadly that is the way it must be.
